From whom is the prescribed Zakat amount taken when blending results in an obligation?

The prescribed Zakat (Sadaqah) is taken from the combined wealth of the partners (Khaleetan), similar to how it is taken from an individual's wealth. The collector may take the due amount from the wealth of either partner. The basis for this is the prophetic tradition stating that partners must reconcile the due share equally.
