Which relatives are eligible to receive Zakat al-Fitr?

It is permissible to give Zakat al-Fitr to one's relatives, provided they meet the criteria for receiving general Zakat al-Mal. However, it must not be given to a wealthy person, a relative to whom one is obligated to provide sustenance, or anyone explicitly prohibited from receiving Zakat al-Mal. It is permissible to distribute it among the eight categories of recipients because it is a form of charity, resembling general charity (Sadaqa).
