What is the ruling when the prescribed animal and the next one are missing, but animals further removed are present?

If the required animal (e.g., Haqqah) and the next one (Bunat Labun) are missing, but the Jadh'ah and Bunat Makhad are present, it is not permissible to substitute the Bunat Makhad if the Haqqah was obligatory. Likewise, if Bunat Labun was obligatory, it is not permissible to pay with a Jadh'ah.
