If Zakah is considered attached to the asset, Abu al-Khattab states that the buyer owes nothing because the decrease in the Nisab invalidates the attachment of Zakah to the asset. This view is considered correct, as the utility of stating Zakah is attached to the asset manifests precisely in preventing Zakah liability when the Nisab is diminished.
