What is the ruling if the treasure bears mixed markings of both Jahiliyyah and Islam?
Chapter on Zakat on Gold and Silver

Primary text
If part of the treasure bears a pre-Islamic marking and part bears an Islamic marking, it is treated as lost property (Luqatah). Ahmad stated this in the narration of Ibn Mansur. The presumption is that it came into the possession of a Muslim, and there is no knowledge of its divestment from Muslim ownership, thus resembling property bearing only Muslim markings.
