Primary text

If the jewelry is held for trade purposes, its value must be assessed including the embedded jewels. This ruling is established because if the jewels themselves were held solely for trade, they would be valued and Zakat would be due upon them. Consequently, they must be included when assessing the value of trade jewelry.
