Primary text

If one possesses twenty camels that completed their hawl (Zakat year) in Muharram, and five camels that completed their hawl in Safar, the due Zakat on the first twenty is four sheep upon the completion of their year. Upon the completion of the year for the five, the due Zakat is a bint makhad (one-year-old female camel). This ruling is according to the first two of the established scholarly opinions. According to the third opinion, one sheep is due on the twenty camels.
