Is Zakat obligation removed from an owner who is captured (imprisoned)?

Zakat obligation remains upon the owner even if he is captured or prevented from accessing his wealth. This is because the owner's disposition (tassarruf) over his wealth remains effective. His sale, gift, and appointing an agent concerning his property are valid.
