Primary text
The emancipation of the perpetrator of an act (al-jani) is valid, provided that the emancipation itself is deemed valid. This ruling applies equally to the emancipation of a mortgaged slave (al-marhun) and a slave belonging to a bankrupt person (al-muflis). The validity rests upon the completeness of the emancipation rights held over these individuals.
