What is the ruling on beginning the two months of fasting when the start date falls on a prohibited day like Eid al-Fitr?

Primary text
If the fast begins from the second day of Shawwal, the first day (Eid al-Fitr) is omitted, and the person completes the month by counting thirty days thereafter to fulfill the requirement. If one begins fasting from the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah until the end of Muharram, this fulfills the requirement for the first month, and the second month is completed according to the duration of Safar. If the fast begins on Eid al-Fitr, the fast on that day is invalid, but the remainder of the month and the entirety of Dhu al-Qa'dah are counted as valid first month. The second month (Shawwal) must then be completed by substituting the missed Eid day in Dhu al-Hijjah if Shawwal was full, or adding an extra day if Shawwal was short, as it was not started from its beginning.
