If the two expiations are of the same type, the emancipation suffices for both, and each slave is deemed to fulfill one expiation. This is based on the established custom and legal convention that the freeing of a neck fulfills the expiation when mentioned generally. If the expiations are of different types, the ruling follows the previous dispute regarding the stipulation of specifying the cause.
