What is the ruling if a person emancipates two slaves for two expiations without explicitly assigning which slave is for which expiation, stating only, 'I freed this slave for one of the two expiations, and this one for the other'?

Primary text
If the two required expiations are of the same type (e.g., both for Zihar or both for accidental killing), the emancipation suffices. If the two expiations are of different types (e.g., one for Zihar and one for accidental killing), the validity depends on whether specifying the cause is stipulated. If specification is required, neither slave suffices for an expiation. If specification is not required, the emancipation suffices for both.
