Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 2:108

Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sulayman, from al-Hasan ibn ‘Amr, from Fudayl ibn ‘Amr, from Ibrahim, that he disliked that the adhan be called before the dawn (fajr).
