2279. Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, that he used to say regarding a man who prays alone: He performs the adhan and the iqamah. And Ibn Sirin narrated from a man who was a jurist: He performs the iqamah and does not perform the adhan, except for the morning prayer (subh), for he performs the adhan for it and performs the iqamah.
