Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 2:170

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Ata, regarding a man who prays in his house without an iqamah: He said: If he performs the iqamah, then he is doing [a good] deed, and if he does not do so, it is sufficient for him.
