Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 2:255

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from ‘Umarah ibn Zadhan, from Yahya al-Bakka’, he said: I was holding the hand of Ibn ‘Umar while he was circumambulating the Ka’bah, and a man from the mu’adhdhins (callers to prayer) of the Ka’bah met him and said: "I truly love you for the sake of Allah." Ibn ‘Umar said: "And I truly hate you for the sake of Allah; you beautify your voice to take dirhams."
