Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 32:2

Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Salamah ibn al-Haytham, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "If you were not to commit sins, Allah would bring forth a creation that would commit sins, so He would forgive them."
