Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 24:108

Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Isra’il, who said: A man said to Uthman ibn Abi al-As: "You have taken away the world and the Hereafter." He said: "And what is that?" He said: "You have wealth from which you give charity and maintain ties, and we have no wealth." He said: "A dirham that one of you takes and places in his right [hand] is better than ten thousand [dirhams] that one of us takes violently from a grasp, and he does not find a place for it."
