Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Shamir, from Hilal ibn Yasaf, who said: The messenger who brought the head of al-Mukhtar to Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me. He said: When he placed it before him, he said: "Ka’b did not narrate a hadith to me except that I saw its verification, except for this one. For he narrated to me that a man from Banu Thaqif would kill me, and I have shown that I am the one who killed him."
