Hadith 24:26
Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Husayn ibn Waqid, who said: Abdullah ibn Buraydah narrated to me: That al-Hasan ibn Ali entered upon Mu'awiyah. He said: "I will certainly give you a gift the likes of which I have not given to anyone before you, nor will I give to anyone after you from the Arabs." So he gave him four hundred thousand, and he accepted it.
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب عن حسين بن واقد قال حدثني عبد الله بن بريدة أن حسن بن علي دخل علي معاوية فقال لأجيزنك بجائزة لم أجز بها أحدا قبلك ولا اجيز بها أحدا بعدك من العرب فأجازه بأربعمائة ألف فقبلها
