Hadith 24:53
Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Abu Sufyan narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Jahhaf narrated to me, he said: Mu'awiyah ibn Tha'labah informed me, he said: I came to Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah and said: "Indeed, the messenger of al-Mukhtar has come to us, calling us." He said: So he said to me, "Do not fight, for I truly dislike to cut off this nation from its affair, or to come to it from other than its proper way."
حدثنا أبو أسامة قال حدثنا أبو سفيان قال حدثني أبو الجحاف قال أخبرني معاوية بن ثعلبة قال أتيت محمد بن الحنفية فقلت إن رسول الله المختار أتانا يدعونا قال فقال لي لا تقاتل إني لأكره أن أبتر هذه الأمة أمرها أو آتيها من غير وجهها
