Hadith 24:69
Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Harun ibn Antara, from Sulaym ibn Hanzala, who said: We came to Ubayy ibn Ka'b to speak with him. When he stood up to walk, we stood up to walk with him. Umar caught up with him and raised his whip over him. He (Ubayy) said: "O Commander of the Faithful, know what you are doing." He (Umar) said: "Do you not see? It is a trial for the one followed, and a humiliation for the follower."
حدثنا بن إدريس عن هارون بن عنترة عن سليم بن حنظلة قال أتينا أبي بن كعب لنتحدث معه فلما قام يمشي قمنا نمشي معه فلحقه عمر فرفع عليه الدرة فقال يا أمير المؤمنين اعلم ما تصنع قال ما ترى فتنة للمتبوع مذلة للتابع
