Hadith 24:76
Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from Ibn Mina, from al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, who said: I heard Umar—and one of my fingers was in his wound—saying: "O assembly of Quraysh, I do not fear the people for you; I only fear for the people because of you. I have left among you two things; you will not cease to be in goodness as long as you adhere to them: justice in judgment and justice in distribution. I have left you upon something like the shearing of sheep, except that a people may deviate, and they will deviate along with them."
حدثنا بن إدريس عن شعبة عن سعد بن إبراهيم عن بن ميناء عن المسور بن مخرمة قال سمعت عمر وإن أحد أصابعي في جرحه هذه وهو يقول يا معشر قريش إني لا أخاف الناس عليكم إنما أخاف على الناس وإني قد تركت فيكم اثنتين لم تبرحوا بخير ما لزمتموها العدل في الحكم والعدل في القسم وإني قد تركتكم على مثل محرقة الغنم إلا أن يعوج قوم فيعوج بهم
