Hadith 24:89
Affan narrated to us, he said: Wuhayb narrated to us, he said: Dawud narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam regarding this verse: "And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively." He said: It was revealed, and we did not know who would be the ones to succeed it. He said: So some of them said, "O Abu Abd Allah, then why did you come to Basra?" He said: Woe to you, we see (the situation), but we do not have patience.
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا وهيب قال حدثنا داود عن الحسن عن الزبير بن العوام في هذه الآية @QB@ واتقوا فتنة لا تصيبن الذين ظلموا منكم @QE@ قال لقد نزلت ولا ندري من يخلف لها قال فقال بعضهم يا أبا عبد الله فلم جئت إلى البصرة قال ويحك إنا نبصر ولكنا لا نصبر
