Hadith 24:98
Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs, from al-Hasan ibn al-Hasan, that ‘Abdullah ibn Ja’far married off his daughter. He went into seclusion with her and said to her: "When death descends upon you, or a terrible matter from the affairs of the world, face it by saying: 'There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Great Throne. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.'" Al-Hasan ibn al-Hasan said: "Al-Hajjaj sent for me, so I recited them. When I stood before him, he said: 'I had sent for you while I intended to strike your neck, but now you have become the person most dear to me. Ask me for your need.'"
حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن أبي بكر بن حفص عن الحسن بن الحسن أن عبد الله بن جعفر زوج ابنته فخلا بها فقال لها إذا نزل بك الموت أو أمر من أمور الدنيا فظيع فاستقبليه بأن تقولي لا إله إلا الله [ الحليم ] الكريم سبحان الله رب العرش العظيم الحمد لله رب العالمين قال الحسن بن الحسن فبعث إلي الحجاج فقلتهن فلما مثلت بين يديه قال لقد بعثت إليك وأنا اريد ان أضرب عنقك ولقد صرت ما من أحد أكرم علي منك سلني حاجتك
