Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:1009

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Kathir, from Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Ata, from a man from Banu Harithah, from Rafi ibn Khadij, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he saw upon our riding beasts—and they were upon our camels—cloaks in which there were threads of red wool. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Do I not see that this redness has overcome you?" So we stood up quickly due to the statement of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), until some of our camels bolted. He said: So we took the cloaks and stripped them from them.
