Hadith 16:116
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Yazid ibn al-Asamm, from Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: A dabb (lizard) was gifted to us, so I prepared it. Then two men from her people entered upon her, and she offered it to them as a gift. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered while they were eating, so he placed his hand [in the dish], then he withdrew it. He said: "What is this?" She said: "A dabb that was gifted to me, so I prepared it." He cast it aside. They went to throw away what was in their hands, but he said: "Eat, for you are the people of Najd who eat it, and we are the people of Medina who find it repulsive."
