Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Affan narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr narrated to us, from Husayn, a man from Banu Fazarah, from Samurah ibn Jundub, who said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while he was delivering a sermon, and he interrupted his sermon. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the dabb (lizard)?" He said: "Indeed, a nation from the Children of Israel was transformed, and I do not know which of the beasts they were transformed into."
