Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:120

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out on an expedition, and they were struck by famine. A man came to him with some dabb (lizards), and he presented them as a gift to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He looked at them and said: "A tribe from the Children of Israel was transformed into beasts upon the earth." He did not eat them, and he did not forbid them.
