Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:142

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Hasan ibn Hakim, from his mother, from Abu Barzah: That he had Magian tenants, and they used to give him gifts during Nayruz and Mihrajan. He would say to his family: "Whatever is fruit, eat it, and whatever is other than that, return it."
