Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:156

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il bin 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Bard, from 'Ata', from Jabir bin 'Abdullah, he said: We used to go on military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) to the land of the polytheists. We would not refrain from eating from their vessels and drinking from their water skins.
