Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:252

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il bin 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Humayd bin Hilal, from Abu Burdah, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) smelled the odor of garlic from Al-Mughirah. He said: "Did I not forbid you from this tree?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I adjure you to put your hand [inside]." He said: "And he was wearing a jubbah (outer garment) or a qamis (shirt)." So he put his hand in, and behold, there was a pouch of a bandage (or a tied bundle) upon him. He said: "I do not see any excuse for you."
