Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:256

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Burdah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu’bah, who said: I ate garlic, then I came to the prayer place of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I found that he had preceded me by one rak’ah. When he prayed, I stood to complete [my prayer], and I found the odor. He said: "Whoever eats this plant, let him not approach our mosque until its odor goes away." Al-Mughirah said: When I finished the prayer, I came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have an excuse; give me your hand." He said: I found him, by Allah, to be easy-going. He gave me his hand, and I inserted it into my chest, and he found it bandaged. He said: "Indeed, you have an excuse."
