Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:293

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ and Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Abu ‘Amr al-Shaybani, who said: ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud saw some dirhams with a man and said: "What are you going to do with these dirhams?" The man said: "These, O Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman, are thirty dirhams; I intend to buy ghee with them for Ramadan." He said: "You will put it in a small bowl and eat it?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Go and give them to your wife, and command her to buy meat for one dirham every day, for that is better for you."
