Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:294

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from the one who narrated to him, he said: Jabir passed by Umar with meat that he had bought for a dirham. He said: So Umar said to him, "What is this?" He said, "I bought it for a dirham." He said, "Every time you desire something, you buy it? Do not be among the people of this verse: 'You have exhausted your good things in your worldly life.'"
