Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:349

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, from al-Taymi, from Abu Uthman, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was asked about locusts. He said: "They are the greatest of the armies of Allah; I do not eat them, nor do I forbid them."
