Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:407

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, from Ibn 'Awn, from Muhammad, I asked him. I said: "Did they use to wear silk (khazz)?" He said: "They used to wear it, and they disliked it, and they hoped for the mercy of Allah."
