Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Shu’bah, from al-Hakam, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from Hudhayfah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade the wearing of silk and gold. And he said: "It is for them in the world, and for us in the Hereafter."
