Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:46

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Shu’bah, from Hisham bin Zayd bin Anas, from Anas, he said: I heard him saying: We startled a hare at Marr al-Zahran, so the boys ran until they became exhausted by it. Then I caught it and brought it to Abu Talha, so he slaughtered it. Then he sent me with its haunch to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he accepted it.
