Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:467

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Sami', from Muslim al-Batin, from Abu 'Amr al-Shaybani, he said: An old man came and greeted Ali, and he was wearing a cloak (jubba) made of Taylasan, with silk on its front. Ali said, "What is this stench under your garment?" The old man looked to his right and his left and said, "I do not see anything." He (Ali) said, "A man says [this], meaning the silk." He (the old man) said, "A man says [it] when we meet him, and we shall not return [to it]."
