Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:474

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, who said: I said to Salim: "A man clothes his family in silk (qazz) and silk-blend (khazz) and garments." He said: "I used to not clothe them in it, but they did not cease [asking/insisting] until I clothed them in it. And if you do not clothe them in it, then by Allah, it is better."
