Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:557

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Mis’ar narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Abu Salih al-Hanafi, from ‘Ali, that Ukaydir of Dumah gifted a silk garment to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He gave it to ‘Ali and said: "Tear it into head coverings (khumur) among the women."
