Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:565

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hatim ibn Wardan narrated to us, from Nafi’, who said: Ibn Umar clothed his freed slave one day with Qibti (Egyptian) garments. He went away with them, so Ibn Umar sent for him and called him. He said, "What do you intend to do with them?" He replied, "I intend to make them into a garment [for my wife]." Ibn Umar said, "If it does not show the skin through, it still describes the shape."
