Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Sulayman ibn Harb narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, from Ya'la ibn Hakim, from Sulayman ibn Abi Abd Allah, he said: I reached the first Emigrants (Muhajirun) wearing turbans of cotton (karabis) that were black, white, red, green, and yellow. One of them would place the turban on his head and place the skullcap (qalansuwa) over it, then he would wrap the turban like this—meaning over its folds—and he would not pass it under his chin.
