Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:770

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Layth, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: Abu Quhafah was brought on the day of the Conquest to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his head was as if it were *thughamah* (a white plant). He said: "Take him to one of his wives, so let them change it, and avoid black for him."
