Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Ayyub, who said: I heard Sa’id ibn Jubayr, and he was asked about dyeing with *wasma* (woad), so he disliked it. He said: "Allah clothes the servant with light in his face, then he extinguishes it with black."
