Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Yahya ibn 'Abbad ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Abbad ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Aisha, who said: The Negus gifted to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a ring-setting containing a gold ring in which there was an Abyssinian stone. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took it with a stick while he was turning away from it, or with some of his fingers while he was turning away from it. Then he called for the daughter of his daughter, Umamah bint Abi al-'As, and said: "Adorn yourself with this, O my little daughter."
