Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:913

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isa bin Yunus narrated to us, from Umar bin Sa’id bin Abi Husayn, he said: My mother informed me, from my father, he said: I entered upon Umm Salamah while I was a young boy, and I was wearing a ring of gold. She said, "O slave girl, hand it to me." So I handed it to her. She said, "Take it to his family, and make a ring of silver for him." I said, "My family has no need for it." She said, "Then give it as charity, and make a ring of silver for him."
