Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:932

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn Musa, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to place its stone towards the inside of his palm.
