Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from ‘Ata’ ibn Yazid, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade two types of sales and two types of clothing. As for the two sales, they are *al-mulamasah* (touching) and *al-munabadhah* (throwing). As for the two types of clothing, they are *ishtimal al-samma’* (wrapping oneself in a garment leaving no opening for the arms) and *al-ihtiba’* (sitting with the knees drawn up to the chest) in a single garment, with nothing of it covering his private parts.
